TASK 3(B): Type Design and Communication
We express typographically a social message, greeting or the like, that
is relevant to the campus community at Taylor's University or social at large.
We may minor graphical elements or visuals to aid in our message and design.
Besides ,we have to ensure that the expression occupies the space and is
legible and readable for its intended use.
Visual Research
~I started to research some designs about earth day from snapchat ,google,
behance and messenger.

~I found that most of the design using san serif font and most of the
font design have the round stroke cap .But I want to try both first
which is butt stroke cap.
My Ideas

~Before choosing the Happy Earth Day , I also have draw
the Christmas 's theme to see the outcome. This is due to the reason
I was confusing to choosing between earth day or merry christmas but after the feedback I agreed that I would like to try
my design within typography.

~Upgrading and create another one .This time I going more focus
design in the typography .I had design the font to san serif font and the round stroke cap because it represent the
round earth .Besides ,I was wondering am I going to turning the
"A" upside down which is on the top because I want to show the
size of the bulb light like the figure. This design is about turn
off the light to celebrate the earth day you can see there have a
plug which is"off". Lastly, I using the word of "MOTHER" as the
biggest one is because I want to tell the message to people that
the earth is our mother ,we need to save electricity and turn off lights. This idea had come out when I saw figure 2.2 and 2.3.

~I try to playing with nature texture like leaves and wood. But I think need more exploration because I think that not enough and look graphical.

~I explore a few colour to finding the most suitable coloring.

~I was confused between go with the green nature bulb or the bulb had switch off.
~Finally, I choosing the second one because I want to go with right one because it show more contrast and getting the viewer's attention more. Besides, this coloring had highlight importance message which is the 'MOTHER'[Mother Earth].

Attempt #2
~I started to do another one after the marking in week13. This idea had came out from my mind because I had look a lot of visual research before doing the attempt #1. Hence, I upgrade the light bulb into a tree to increase the graphical and suitable to the topic. I using the Gill Sans Ultra Bold to design the earth day.

~My idea of the Gif is looking the earth / the light bulb from space
.I plan to make the light bulb slowly turn off into dark meanwhile
the light closing the wire also turning to green .I was wondering to
make the stars twinkle.

~Everything going great but I had try to let the stars twinkle but
it look messy .It 'll make the viewer focus on the stars only.
Hence, I fix it in position and let the light bulb animation
only.

~Lastly adding the Taylor Rocket to spinning around the wire /
nature track.

Feedback
Week 11
General Feedback: Plan my design within typography. How to manage Happy
Earth Day. Just do a little bit explore. Try to digitize it would we great,
we need to work very quick.
Week 12
General Feedback: We need to make sure that graphical elements are kept to a
bare minimum. We should also double-check that the sticker on Telegram has a
7pt white outline.
Reflection
Experience: I have experienced how to express the messages with typography and some graphics design . Besides, I also experienced the happiness of my first sticker had made out from telegram I had never so happy and nervous when the moment had send it successfully to my friend she also love the stickers that I had made and encourage me to do it more.
Observation: I had noticed my judgement and observation improved a lot .Because I had making a lot of decision , explore a lot of design and learning how to using other ideas
to create our own design .There 's a saying goes, to steal ideas from someone is plagiarism; to stealing from many is research.
Finding :I would like to find some inspirations for my personal sticker design for myself to satisfied myself and gain experiences.

I love the content about Thinking With Type it have talking about the information of letter, text ，grid and the most favourite one is the free advice in the last page. In this book, I learned a sentence that is make the shoes fit, not the fool. It telling us rather than force content into rigid containers, create systems that are flexible and responsive to the materials that are intended to a accommodate . The chapter of the grid also had increase my knowledges in grid. The latin bible is interesting it had opened the space where illuminated capital would had been add by hand. The layout changing page to page.
