~ Finally, we've arrived at task 3. This task is a continuation of the
previous ones. Based on the exercises, we must move ahead on the text and
graphic formatting for our book. First and foremost, we have create three
various grid systems that we may use in our book design.
*It is not suitable to my theme/ My chosen of the font
is too unwisely.
#Type Specimen 2
Heading: Paquito Regular, 50pt
Body text: ITC New Baskerville Std Roman, 10pt (why
10pt because when I print the font in the book, the
font is too big. )
Subtext: Baskerville Old Face Regular, 11pt
Pullquote: Paquito Regular, 24pt
3.) Layout Reference
Figure 2.0 Layout Reference
~The second step we had to do was create artwork for the
book. It would be fun to show another picture from the
story using simple point-and-plane illustrations. Then, with the finished grid system, typefaces and the
illustrations, we started the layout process.
4.) 1-st pg. till the end of 1st chapter
Figure 3.0 First Draft & Second Draft
~To much words and did not have any space for reader to
write. Without any hesitation, I go to print out the black and white book and the thumbnail with
color to see how it turned out and figure out if I needed to make two
changes before printing the final book which are the font size of my
body text because it is too big for reading and the book 's cover with
color is too bright for printing because of the gradient.

~After the test printing, I reduce my font and adjust my gradient
cover.

Week 4
General Feedback:
~When it comes to stage in layout, thinking about the layout and
the positioning right now this will influence in a bad way. Avoid the
laying out, can play with the illustrations and visuals and not create
that supposed to be I've got two colors. It is interesting, I'm on the
right track in terms of being very abstract and experimental with my
strokes and really cool. When I utilize the more intense it gets and how
I utilize both over here is actually quite nice. There's a slight
difference in the style. It show how I reconcile.
Week 5
General Feedback:
~Choose a suitable font. Consistence the stroke.
Week 6
General Feedback:
~If we exceed 32 pages, we will have to add 4 more pages due to the
signature system
~ Cover page will have 4 pages in total (front &back)
~Test print on black and white before finalising the book by next
week
~Book cover design should be done next week
~80-90gsm for book pages
Week 7

~ Be sure with the cut guidelines and make sure the book is
able to fit in a3 paper in a way it is easy to cut
~Printing thumbnail in colour before printing the book
Week 8
~ Independent week
