Lecture
Introduction & Briefing
Mr Martin showed us how to use Photoshop during lecture class. Before he
started teaching us, he sent us a drive link and told us to download four
photographs to practise cropping the item inside the photo. Mr Martin begins
by introducing the item within Photoshop and instructing us on how to use the
Marquee Selection Tools. Mr Martin then instructs us to place the backdrop
layer at the bottom, as it will cover everything if it is placed at the top.
Last but not least, Mr Martin provided us with feedback on our week two
practical.
Basic tools in Photoshop ( Lasso Tool, Pen Tool and Layering ):
- Lasso Tool ~ To draw and pinpoint specific areas of a document. There are three types of Lasso Tool which is Lasso, Polygonal Lasso and Magnetic Lasso.
- Pen Tool ~ To create path from scratch by adding and dragging the points.
- Layering ~ Different images are stacked on top of one another to form layers. To make adjustments, we can use each layer separately from the others. They combine to form a single image.

Final Digital Collage
Reflection
It was challenging to find out how to combine numerous images into attractive images at first. But I've been trying with various arrangements. I like every work pieces and the process of making it. Because I don't have to spend time cutting images as I do with the manual collage. You can edit images beautifully using digital collage in only a few clicks.
